Megan D Ferron (Denarah)

Physician Assistant

Megan Denarah Ferron is a nationally certified Physician Associate (PA-C) who completed her medical training at The George Washington University. She joins Rheumatology Express with extensive experience in pain management, where she developed and implemented a scientifically validated, non-pharmacologic lifestyle approach to chronic pain that helped patients meaningfully reduce symptoms with reduced reliance on medication.

Denarah integrates natural healing, achievable lifestyle modifications, and patient education into the high quality, evidence-based medical care already provided at Rheumatology Express. She is dedicated to collaborative, patient-centered decision making—and begins every visit by listening. Her background in science education allows her to translate complex medical information into clear, practical guidance that empowers patients to make informed choices about their health.

Deeply committed to health equity and access, Denarah’s interest in integrative medicine began early. By age 12, she was studying herbal medicine and practicing wild plant identification and processing. She trained in multiple integrative medicine programs, including George Washington University’s Integrative Medicine Certification program, Dr. Andrew Weil’s program at the University of Arizona, and continuing medical education at the Institute for Functional Medicine. She has also worked alongside a renowned anthroposophic physician in Baltimore, supporting patients undergoing chemotherapy with evidence-informed supplements and homeopathic therapies to optimize treatment outcomes. One of her most highly valued holistic modalities includes Certification in NeuroEmotional Technique which combines Chinese Medicine acupressure points with modern neuroscience to manage stress and reduce the physiological effect of the sympathetic nervous system, reregulation through the cerebellum and amygdala to address a root cause of high cortisol and blood sugar and CRP, ESR. Thus decreasing overall load of inflammatory cytokines on the rheumatological patient.

Megan brings a thoughtful, compassionate, and whole-person approach to care—honoring both the science of medicine and the wisdom of the body.
